Security Questions

How do I ensure that my information is securely stored and safe?

We use the most up to date web application security and encryption technology to prevent fraud and cyber risks.  Multiple security protocols are called to action to protect your information.

Do I have to share my information immediately with my estate representatives or loved ones?

No, you are able to choose when you would like to share your information with your legacy keyholders.  Once you feel comfortable sharing, a simple click of a button will notify your keyholders.

Do I need to provide my phone number at sign up?

Yes, we ask for your number because we utilize 2 step verification to protect your account and highly recommend it.  Two-step verification is a process that involves two authentication methods performed one after the other to verify that someone or something requesting access is who or what they are declared to be. Additionally, we use it as part of our verification process in the event you should pass.

What happens to all my personal information when I pass away?

At the end of your subscription the documents you uploaded will be securely wiped out from our system indefinitely.  If you had opted for a lifetime subscription your documents will be destroyed one year from month of death.  In all circumstances your “keyholders” will have access to your “client worksheet” forever.

Will I be the only one that can view my “client profile” and what has been uploaded to LegacyShare?

Yes, your documents are only accessible to you and your “keyholders”.  No one at LegacyShare can view your documents in anyway, we consider your personal information highly sensitive information that is extremely private.  Our administrators can only see if certain documents are uploaded (wills, health care proxy, etc.) but not the actual documents.

I have signed up, but I don’t know where to start or don’t have my documents/information quite yet.

No problem, some information is better than no information and anything will make things easier for your beneficiaries.  Simply upload the information you do have (account locations, trusteed financial advisors, etc.) and fill out what you easily know in the “client worksheet”.  Additionally, we strongly suggest you designate your “keyholder” even if you have minimal information. You will find that once you get this process going it will motivate you to drive forward and address your Legacy!
